Although the D.O.E. has approved the FACA Clinics as a means of meeting the requirements, your county must also approve the FACA Clinics for you to receive the points. Be sure to check with your county/school. There is no extra cost for those receiving the Inservice Points. We will also have a hotel sponsored “FACA Coaches Reception” on Thursday evening, December 4th at 6:30 pm. A DJ, Door prizes and a grand prize drawing of a weekend stay at the Hilton will be part of that reception. Don’t miss the fun!
Don’t miss our 1st Ever State Lacrosse Clinic. Our new State Chairmen are working very hard to put together a very strong list of speakers and topics for our state coaches. John Danowski – Duke University
Under Coach Danowski’s leadership, the Blue Devils have won 3 of the last 5 NCAA DI National Championships. He started his college coaching career as an assistant at CW Post and then became the head coach at Post before moving a couple miles south to Hofstra. After a 20 year stint at Hofstra, Coach Danowski really did make a move south and helped create the legacy that is Duke Lacrosse. He has been honored as the DI Coach of the Year in 1993 while at Hofstra and in 2010 as the head coach of Duke.

In 2004 he was awarded the USILA Coach of the Year when he led Navy to the NCAA Finals.Kevin O’Leary – NCAA Official
Kevin has officiated some of the top lacrosse games in the US for several decades. O’Leary’s great understanding of the game comes from both his playing days at the University of Maryland where he was a 4 year starter in the goal and Kevin’s coaching background as an assistant at his alma mater. He has been an official at more than 14 straight NCAA Championship weekends and continues to be one of the top referees in the United States.
Stan Ross – Florida Launch / Oxbridge Academy
A defenseman at Loyola University, Stan began his coaching career as an assistant at Towson, Princeton, Denver and Navy and was also the head coach of Butler University. Coach Ross worked professionally with the Denver Outlaws for 3 seasons and in 2013 was named the head coach of the new Florida Launch, a team that was very successful in their 2014 inaugural season. Coach Van Arsdale’s has held assistant coaching positions at Hobart, Penn State, and Notre Dame. He has also been the head coach collegiately at RIT and Colorado College and professionally in the MLL for the Rochester Rattlers. In 2011 Van Arsdale was picked as the head coach at Jacksonville University.
Marty Ward – Iroquois National Team/Florida Southern College
Coach Ward is heading into his 5th year as the head coach of Florida Southern College. Marty started his coaching career as an assistant at Limestone and then became Rory Whipple’s assistant at FSC. Rory Whipple – University of Tampa
Coach Whipple is the all-time winningest Lacrosse coach at the DII level. Rory has been the head coach at Clarkson, Hartwick, Bryant, and Florida Southern prior to being chosen to start the new program at the University of Tampa. In 2014, Tampa won the Sunshine State Conference and Whipple was named the conference Coach of the Year. The Spartans had their best season ever before losing in the NCAA DII semifinal game to Limestone who won the 2014 Championship.
Robbie Lindeman – FHSAA
Coach Lindeman is a graduate of the University of South Florida. Prior to his position with the FHSAA, Robbie was the Athletic Director at West Port H.S. in Ocala and the head Baseball coach. In addition to his duties as Director of Athletics for the FHSAA he is in his first year as the Sports Administrator for Lacrosse.
