ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY: FACA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The Florida Athletic Coaches Association , Board of Directors is accepting applications for the position of Executive Director. The vacancy is the result of the retirement of current Executive Director, Wallace L. "Wink" Barnette. This individual serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the FACA, a not for profit corporation, whose 5,000 plus members are Middle School, High School, and College Coaches from Florida's public and non-public schools.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum Bachelor's degree with educational background.
  2. A minimum of ten years as a teacher and coach or athletic director in the state of Florida.
  3. Demonstrated personnel organizational and management skills.
  4. Demonstrated fiscal experience including financial management and reporting, preparing and overseeing an annual budget.
  5. Demonstrated communication skills such as speaking, writing, computer and networking.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work with other coaching and athletic organizations, the Florida High School Athletic Association and the State Department of Education and State Legislature.
  7. Possess a working knowledge of the FACA Bylaws, Administrative Policies, Procedures and Programs.
  8. Demonstrated exemplary leadership and administrative abilities in previous employment positions.

CONTRACT AND SALARY INFORMATION

The salary and fringe benefits package are negotiable based on applicant's previous experience and qualifications. A multi-year contract after the first year with a minimum salary amount of $60,000.00 per year and a competitive fringe benefit package will be offered.
