The FACA Fall District Meetings are set for August 20th thru September 3rd, 2008. See listing below for the date, site, and time (all times are local) of your district meeting. These meetings are for all coaches not just fall sports coaches. The meetings are scheduled so your FACA district director can update you on FACA business and to get input from coaches at the grassroots level. All coaches will meet in a general session first to discuss business pertaining to all coaches. Then you will break up into sports sessions and select a district chairman and vice chairman to represent your FACA district in each sport.
This is a very important position since these individuals will serve on the FACA State Sports Committee in their sport. They should be committed to attending the FACA state clinic in that sport. The district chairman will also serve on the committee which will vote for the “Player of the Year” and “Coach of the Year” awards program sponsored by the Florida Dairy Farmers, Inc.
Your FACA District Director should notify you of your meeting. Be sure you attend this important meeting to receive information concerning your association and what will be happening in your sport during the 2008-09 school year.
